This Privacy Notice explains how Aerovend Limited collects, uses, and protects your data when you use our automated AI vending machines. We are registered with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) under registration number ZC242710

1. What Data We Collect & Why

Our vending machines use an integrated camera and optical sensor system. When you interact with the machine:

What we capture: Temporary video frames or images of the interaction area and the items selected.

Why we capture it: To automatically identify the items you select, calculate your total bill, and process your payment.

Our Legal Basis: We process this data under Legitimate Interests. It is necessary to operate our automated checkout system, manage inventory, and prevent fraud or theft.

2. How Long We Keep Your Data

We believe in strict data minimization Successful Purchases: Images captured for billing are processed locally or securely in the cloud and are deleted immediately once your payment is successfully authorized.

Unsuccessful or Disputed Transactions: In the event of a system error, failed payment, or disputed charge, relevant footage may be securely held for up to 14 days solely to resolve the issue, after which it is permanently deleted.

3. Data Security & Sharing

We do not sell or rent your images to third parties.

Data is heavily encrypted both when being sent to our processors and while stored. Access is strictly limited to authorized technical staff investigating payment errors.

4. Your Rights

Under UK data protection law, you have the right to request access to any data we hold about you, request rectification, or lodge a complaint with the ICO (www.ico.org.uk) if you believe we have mishandled your data given the immediate deletion of successful transaction imagery, please note we may not hold any identifiable images of you after you leave the machine.
